One of the important parameters of environmental pollution is incomplete combustion in house hold appliances (water heater and stove) working with fossil fuel (gas and oil). Considering the potential of solar energy in most regions of Iran, using this energy enables us to satisfy many energy needs. Therefore, Net-Solar in collaboration with Ice & Solar System (ISS), which is a German company, has designed a polymeric thermo-siphon solar water heater.

The main feature of this kind of solar water heater is the use of polymeric heat absorbent with a life of over 20 years. This polymeric heat absorbent, unlike other existing copper and aluminum heat absorbents, does not accept sedimentation over time. This polymeric heat absorbent tolerates temperatures between -30 and 150 centigrade degrees, has very good resistance against UV rays, and can transfer water properly. It is very light; therefore it imposes less weight to the roof of the houses and other desired locations for installation.

Besides, the double wall tank of this kind of water heater keeps the generated heat up to 48 hours.

This water heater is designed in 2 models: solar and hybrid (electric-solar). The hybrid type uses a complementary electrical system at the times when solar radiation is not sufficient. The control system in this type enables the consumer to adjust and control temperature both automatically and manually.
